Clemenceau Medical Center (CMC), affiliated with Johns Hopkins International, has once again been shortlisted for two awards at the 2014 Arab Health Achievement and Innovation Awards; the Roche Excellence in Laboratory Award and the Excellence in Patient Centered Care Award. The awards recognize individuals, hospitals, departments, teams or organizations that contribute to the growth and development of the healthcare industry throughout the Middle East.
Roche Excellence in Laboratory Award is presented to the organization or department that has made the greatest contribution in the field of medical laboratory. The criteria for selection are based on evidence of true positive results; safety within the laboratory; waste management policy and blood management policy; Patient identification; innovation and continuous improvement.
The Excellence in Patient Centered Care Award is presented to the hospital or institution that has developed the most effective patient centered care approach in the region. As for the criteria for selection, it encloses initiatives implemented to make the hospital or institution more patients friendly; initiatives implemented to educate patients; evidence of increasing patient satisfaction; patient privacy and patient rights.
