Another record for Clemenceau Medical Center: Fourth consecutive accreditation by the Joint Commission International (21/12/2017)

This high recognition confirms once again the hospital’s leadership in healthcare

Clemenceau Medical Center (CMC) affiliated with Johns Hopkins International has proudly achieved the Gold Seal of Approval as a JCI-accredited medical center for the fourth consecutive time. Joint Commission International (JCI) works to improve patient safety and quality of health care in the international community by offering education, advisory services, and international certification to medical entities. CMC has maintained the accreditation, kept up to date with new standards, and surpassed expectations of performance improvement that JCI promotes. This accreditation is tangible proof of CMC’s mission of “Caring, Safety, Excellence” and incessant commitment to being a world-class medical center, implementing premier international medical standards in order to provide the highest caliber of healthcare services to its patients.

Richard Sheehan, team leader of JCI surveyor team, expressed his satisfaction by stating: “We as a team are asked if we feel you deserve to be accredited and we wrote in our report wholeheartedly yes”. He added, “The new score guideline maintains that all standards must have a score of 9.8; your score is 9.94”.

Dr. Mounes Kalaawi, Chief Executive Officer, was thrilled to receive the 4th JCI Golden Seal of Approval and declared: “I would like to congratulate every member of CMC’s family, from nurses to doctors and personnel, for their continuous commitment in serving one common goal, raising the standards of healthcare and patient care. The results today exceeded our expectations and CMC will continue to strive for the better and lead not only in Lebanon but in the entire region”.
